Construction Project Manager (7 yrs commercial exp required)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage commercial construction projects from start to finish. The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of projects on time, at or under budget, in accordance with specifications, and to client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders. The Project Manager will ensure all projects align with the company's mission, vision, and core values.
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee projects and manage all aspects from start to completion
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and stay informed about project status
Review project plans for accuracy and feasibility
Review and understand all contract documents
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to meet project specifications
Supervise and oversee reporting project team members
Thorough understanding of building construction, mechanical systems, and building codes
Develop scopes of work independently from plans and specs
Evaluate bids and prepare, review, negotiate contract changes
Issue subcontracts and change orders
Develop and manage job budgets
Track and report labor and cost trends
Manage subcontractor buyout, submittals, RFIs, schedules, and change orders
Prepare prime invoices, monthly accruals, and subcontractor invoices
Maintain accurate project information (time reports, task lists, budgets, progress reports, cost coding, change orders)
Develop and update project schedules using P6; ensure schedules stay on track and propose recovery plans if needed
Review project progress and critical issues regularly with management
Maintain accurate job cost projections (WIP)
Manage productivity, quality, environmental, safety, and SWPPP procedures
Conduct weekly internal meetings to establish accountability and ensure maximum production
Conduct regular site visits for safety and quality compliance
Present work progress to clients on behalf of the production team
Maintain good relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, superintendents, and other stakeholders
Resolve issues or conflicts during construction with minimal impact
Manage project issues and change orders tactfully
Utilize project management software effectively
Evaluate and improve team efficiency
Mentor and guide team members
Ensure projects meet or exceed profit baselines
Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years verifiable experience as a Project Manager in Multi-Residential, Hospitality, Pharmaceutical, and/or Commercial projects
Ability to produce accurate and timely work in a fast-paced environment independently
Experience with design-assist and design-build projects preferred
Bachelor's degree in Project Management or PMP certification preferred
Proficient with P6, MS Office Suite, and construction management software
Strong skills in strategic planning, logistics, scheduling, estimating, budgeting, and cost control
Motivated by client satisfaction and project success
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong diplomacy and organizational skills
Understanding of general accounting principles
Willing to receive training on company-specific software and SOPs (not on fundamental PM skills)
