Job Summary
Responsible for prospecting and presenting Heartland Payments solutions to business owners or Financial Institution (FI) Partners to close deals within a fast sales cycle. As a Financial Institutions Relationship Manager (FI-RM), you will report to a District Manager and receive coaching from a Director. Your responsibilities include explaining our value proposition via Atlas CRM and Salesforce, upselling current clients on Heartland products and services, and maintaining regular communication with the FI District Manager.
Job Duties Engage with assigned financial institutions (FI) by visiting branch locations to build and maintain trusted partnerships, align with branch goals, and drive collaboration and success.
During training, work with the District Manager to learn the short-cycle sales process using Atlas (tablet-based CRM) for lead generation, sales presentations, on-the-spot financial analysis, and paperless contract processing.
Compensation
Annual On-Target Earnings (OTE): $120,000+
Base Salary: $40,000+
Residual Income: Ongoing earnings from your work
Monthly/Quarterly Bonuses: Incentives for exceeding quota

Responsibilities Prospect new clients in North America Merchant Services; maintain client records in CRM (Atlas and Salesforce); log call notes and interactions.
Engage with assigned FI partners through weekly branch visits, training sessions, bank meetings, and huddles.
Meet minimum production requirements and secure first-time appointments to drive quota attainment.
Continuously develop knowledge of Heartland products/services and industry trends.
Attend weekly team meetings, one-on-ones, and field rides with the District Manager.
Other responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
18 years of age or older; valid driver’s license; ability to travel to client sites
Background check after conditional offer; mandatory drug screening near day 60
Residence in the job posting area and ability to be in the field ~75% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least two years of relevant experience
Skills & Competencies Excellent prospecting, communication, presentation, and networking skills
Independent worker with team collaboration; incentive-driven “hunter” mindset
Professional demeanor, integrity, urgency, and sales aptitude
Comfort with cold-calling and face-to-face conversations; experience with pipeline/lead management
