A Wiss Manufacturing client is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join their team. This role will focus on driving talent strategies, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. This position is fully onsite in Morris County, NJ and will report to the VP of HR. Salary range is $110-$120k commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with leadership to develop and implement talent strategies that support the division’s workforce needs, including recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Ensure performance review processes are completed on schedule; provide guidance on delivering constructive feedback.
  • Partner with hiring managers and the Corporate Recruiter to manage the full-cycle recruitment process—from sourcing and interviewing to final selection.
  • Lead the onboarding process to ensure a welcoming and effective integration for all new employees.
  • Conduct and analyze exit interviews, providing leadership with key insights and recommendations.
  • Coordinate Open Enrollment activities for the division, including organizing information sessions and assisting employees with benefit-related questions.
  • Work alongside the VP of HR to assess salary competitiveness and support initiatives to attract and retain high-quality talent.
  • Support disciplinary processes by advising managers, facilitating investigations, and ensuring consistent application of policies; partner with VP of HR on complex employee relations matters.
  • Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives and team-building events to enhance morale.
  • Administer employee training programs, including coordination of grants and ensuring attendance and tracking.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HRIS data (Paylocity) in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Stay current on employment laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels, and recommend policy updates to ensure continued compliance.
  • Take on additional HR-related duties and special projects as directed by senior HR leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Experience working with payroll and HR platforms such as Paylocity, ADP, or comparable systems.
  • Solid understanding of HR policies, employment law, and HR best practices.
