This opening is for a qualified professional skilled in Orientation and Mobility Services and/or Teaching for the Visually Impaired to support K-12 students within a school setting in Bothell, WA. The opportunity is a contract position for the upcoming school year, serving a diverse student population with visual impairments through in-person instruction and mobility training.

Ideal candidates will hold Washington State licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) and/or Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS). Preference is given to individuals licensed in both specialties; however, applications from two part-time candidates covering each credential are also welcomed. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct instructional services as a TVI three days per week, implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) focused on students visual impairments Deliver orientation and mobility training two days per week, assisting students in developing independent travel skills within school and community environments Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support comprehensive student development Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with state guidelines Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development Desired Qualifications: Valid Washington State licensure in Teaching for the Visually Impaired (TVI) and/or Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments in educational settings Strong knowledge of assessment and intervention strategies tailored to students with visual disabilities Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams Commitment to in-person service delivery on-site Location: Bothell, Washington Schedule: In-person, contract, part-time or full-time coverage across the school year Candidates interested in making a significant impact on students educational journeys are encouraged to apply promptly to be considered for this vital role.
