A K-12 public school in Bellevue, WA, is seeking skilled professionals to provide specialized services for students with visual impairments. This contract position is for the upcoming school year (NSY) and requires in-person support exclusively. Candidates licensed as Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) and/or Orientation and Mobility Specialists (OMS) in Washington State are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates who hold dual licensure in both TVI and OMS; however, two part-time candidates covering each role separately will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade. Provide specialized orientation and mobility training to help students navigate their environments safely and independently. Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to meet evolving needs. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and school district policies. Qualifications: Valid Washington State licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) and/or Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS). Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively within a school setting, maintaining professionalism and discretion. Work Schedule: TVI services needed 3 days per week. OMS services needed 2 days per week.
