An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support young learners aged 2-5 in an early childhood resource inclusion classroom. This position involves a caseload of approximately five students, supported by paraprofessionals, and focuses on developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with related services staff. The role is full-time with a daily schedule from 7:15 AM to 2:45 PM, Monday through Friday, for the current school year (CSY) on a contract basis.

Key Qualifications: Valid Virginia teaching license with Special Education endorsement. Experience and comfort working with early childhood and lower elementary-aged students. Proficiency in writing, initiating, and implementing IEPs. Ability to collaborate effectively with related services staff and paraprofessionals. Location: Early Childhood School in Mechanicsville, VA. Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs in a resource inclusion setting. Manage a small caseload, ensuring each student's educational goals are met. Coordinate with paraprofessionals and related services to support student development. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to IEP goals and student progress.
