A Special Education Teacher position is available at a high school in Lockport, NY, for the upcoming school year. Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and support staff to promote inclusive learning environments. Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and modifications as necessary. Maintain accurate records in compliance with educational standards and regulations. Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary teams regarding student performance and needs. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid New York State teaching certification in Special Education. Experience teaching high school-aged students with diverse learning challenges. Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and instructional strategies. Ability to create positive, supportive, and structured learning environments. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Competency in using educational technology and data management tools.
