Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of Pre-K students in a self-contained classroom. Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to support various learning styles and abilities. Collaborate with school staff, families, and support services to promote student progress. Monitor and document student performance and adjust teaching methods accordingly. Maintain a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid licensure in Special Education. Experience working with early childhood populations, preferably in self-contained classroom settings. Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to student success. Location and Schedule: Position is located onsite at Naval Anacost Annex, Washington, DC. Work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., totaling 37.5 hours per week. Benefits and Perks: Competitive pay rate ranging from $35 to $45 per hour, depending on experience and licensure. Contract duration aligned with the school calendar year.
