This position is for a Michigan School Social Worker serving K-12 students in Bay City, MI, for the current school year on a contract basis. The role focuses on providing direct social work services in a school setting to support student success and well-being.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver social work services to students as outlined in IEPs or student support plans. Conduct assessments that consider social, emotional, and environmental factors impacting learning. Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary evaluation team. Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and related service providers. Implement evidence-based interventions, including Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and referrals to community resources. Facilitate family-school communication and engagement. Maintain accurate documentation and reports aligned with state and district standards. Qualifications: Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a CSWE-accredited program. Valid Michigan LLMSW or LMSW license issued by LARA. Completion of or enrollment in a Michigan Department of Education (MDE)-approved School Social Worker program. Eligibility for a Michigan MDE School Social Worker Certificate (Preliminary or Professional). Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities. Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in educational environments is preferred.
