Teacher of the Visually Impaired in Marysville, WA

A part-time position is available for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired serving K-12 students in a school setting located in Arlington, WA. This contract role will span the full school year, offering an excellent opportunity to provide specialized instruction and support to visually impaired learners. Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored educational programs to students with visual impairments across grades K-12 Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate inclusive learning environments Utilize assistive technology and adaptive materials to enhance student learning Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly Provide consultative services and training to staff regarding visual impairment accommodations Preferred Qualifications: Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments Strong knowledge of assistive technology and educational resources for visually impaired individuals Effective communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Commitment to fostering positive student outcomes and inclusive education Location: Arlington, WA
