A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with current CCC certification is needed for a Special Education Co-op position in Chicago Heights, IL. This full-semester contract role supports an elementary school setting, working directly with students ranging from 6th grade through age 22. The role requires in-person presence and specialized skills to serve a diverse student population with multiple disabilities.

Responsibilities: Provide individualized speech and language therapy to students with varying communication needs, including nonverbal students and those using AAC devices Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement effective treatment plans Conduct assessments and monitor student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary Deliver approximately 120 minutes of therapy per month per student, serving approximately 70 students Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with program and licensing requirements Qualifications: Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Illinois Professional Education License (PEL) for Special Education Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology Experience working with students with multiple disabilities and AAC devices preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Schedule and Location: Full semester contract from August 18, 2025, through June 2, 2026 35 hours per week, in-person only Elementary school setting serving ages 6th grade through 22 years old Located in Chicago Heights, IL This opportunity provides a chance to make a meaningful impact on a unique student population with specialized needs.
