A full-semester Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to support students with multiple disabilities in an elementary special education cooperative. This in-person role focuses on providing specialized speech and language services to a diverse group of learners ranging from 6th grade through age 22. The position offers 35 hours per week from August 18, 2025, through June 2, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy services tailored to individual student needs.
Work with students who may be nonverbal or utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
Serve approximately 70 students, providing around 120 minutes of direct therapy per month per student.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license required.
Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred.
Experience working with children and young adults with multiple disabilities is strongly desired.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
