A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC credentials is sought for a Special Education Co-op position serving K-8 students with social/emotional disabilities. This role will be based in an elementary setting in Chicago Heights, IL, running from August 18, 2025, through June 2, 2026. This full-time, in-person contract opportunity provides 35 hours per week supporting an approximate caseload of 30 students.
Qualifications:
Active Illinois SLP license
Professional Educator License (PEL)
Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
Experience working with K-8 students with social/emotional disabilities preferred
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized speech-language therapy services as indicated on students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), typically providing 120 minutes per month or 30 minutes per week per student
Collaborate with special education teams to support students' academic and social communication goals
Monitor and document student progress in accordance with district and state guidelines
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of communication goals and strategies
Maintain compliance with all licensure and professional standards
