Key Responsibilities: Assist students with academics, providing targeted instructional support in various subjects. Offer behavior support to encourage positive social interactions and self-regulation. Facilitate communication between students and staff, fostering an inclusive learning environment. Support daily living skills to promote independence and personal development. Manage caseloads typically ranging from 6 to 15 students, adapting to individual needs. Work Schedule: High School hours: 7:20 AM 1:55 PM Middle School hours: 8:00 AM 2:30 PM Elementary hours: either 8:30 AM 3:00 PM or 9:00 AM 3:30 PM Start date is immediate; duration depends on ongoing needs as determined by HR. Qualifications: Good character and professionalism. High school diploma or GED. Successful completion of a Paraprofessional Program approved by the Rhode Island Department of Education. Alternatively, certification as a Paraprofessional from another state; or an associates or bachelors degree with related coursework or training consistent with state standards.
