This position offers an opportunity to support K-12 students in a dynamic school environment located in Cranston, RI. The role focuses on assisting students academically, behaviorally, and in daily living skills, ensuring a positive and productive learning experience.

Responsibilities include: Providing academic support tailored to individual student needs Assisting with behavior management and positive reinforcement strategies Facilitating communication between students, teachers, and staff Supporting development of daily living skills to enhance student independence Managing caseloads typically ranging from 6 to 15 students, depending on assignment Work hours vary by school level: High School: 7:20 AM 1:55 PM Middle School: 8:00 AM 2:30 PM Elementary School: either 8:30 AM 3:00 PM or 9:00 AM 3:30 PM The position is a non-school year (NSY) contract with start dates as soon as possible. Duration will be determined based on ongoing need and coordinated with human resources. Minimum qualifications include: Good character and a high school diploma or GED Successful completion of a Paraprofessional Program approved by the Rhode Island Department of Education Exceptions may apply for candidates with certification from another state or those holding an associates or bachelors degree with coursework aligned to state standards This role is vital in fostering a supportive educational environment and requires dedication, empathy, and strong communication skills.
