Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instruction to K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, using appropriate communication methods and educational strategies. Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to ensure effective learning outcomes. Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes the social and academic growth of all students. Collaborate with parents, speech therapists, audiologists, and other professionals to support each student's educational journey. Maintain accurate records and comply with all relevant educational regulations and standards. Desired Qualifications and Experience: Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Experience working with K-12 students in an educational setting. Knowledge of assistive technologies and communication methods such as sign language or cued speech. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, families, and educational teams. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
