A Special Education teaching opportunity is available in Southeastern Minnesota to support middle school students in grades 7 and 8. This contract position is ideal for educators holding a valid Minnesota Special Education teaching license who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

Position Highlights: Location: Southeastern Minnesota (Harmony area), supporting a K-12 school environment with a focus on middle school grades. Students Served: 14 total; 10 students in federal setting 1, 3 students in federal setting 2, and 1 student in federal setting 3, each with varying disabilities. Classroom Environment: Combination of resource and self-contained settings tailored to meet individual student needs. Instructional Focus: Deliver replacement curriculum in reading, writing, and math; implement and track goals related to academic subjects as well as social and organizational skills. Schedule Flexibility: Choose a preferred daily shift7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM, or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver specialized instructional plans aligned with individual education plans (IEPs). Monitor progress toward academic and social goals, adjusting strategies as needed. Maintain a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere that fosters student growth. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including related services providers and families. Qualifications: Valid Minnesota Special Education teaching license. Experience working with middle school students with disabilities preferred. Ability to manage diverse classroom needs with professionalism and patience.
