This role offers the opportunity to provide specialized speech and language services to students across grades K-12 in a high-needs school setting. The position is full-time, onsite for the 2025-2026 school year (August 26, 2025 June 9, 2026) with a 35-hour workweek.

Key responsibilities include evaluating and delivering therapy for speech sound disorders, language impairments, social communication challenges, cognitive-communication difficulties, and swallowing disorders. You will also work with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, support the implementation of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems, and offer communication enhancement services such as accent modification and public speaking. Collaboration with educators, families, and other professionals to support individualized communication goals is essential. Maintaining detailed and compliant documentation, including evaluation reports and IEPs, is required. Qualifications include holding or being eligible for a Delaware Professional License from the Delaware Department of Education. Experience with AAC and swallowing disorders is highly desirable. Prior school-based experience is a plus but not mandatory. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, teamwork, flexibility, and good problem-solving abilities.
