A dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought to provide specialized early childhood speech and language services for children aged 2-5 in an early intervention setting. This contract role supports young learners facing various communication challenges, helping them achieve success in school and beyond.

Responsibilities include: Evaluating and diagnosing speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in early childhood students. Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Delivering direct therapy services in individual, small group, or classroom-integrated settings. Consulting with teachers, parents, and support staff to embed speech and language goals within the curriculum. Monitoring and documenting progress, maintaining accurate records compliant with federal, state, and district regulations. Participating in IEP meetings, eligibility assessments, and transition planning. Supporting early intervention and preschool special education programs, including inclusive classroom models. Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and legal requirements in speech-language pathology and early childhood education. Qualifications: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Valid state licensure and/or certification such as ASHA CCC-SLP or CFY eligibility; DE State Department of Education certification if required. Experience working with preschool-aged children, preferably in public school or early intervention settings. Strong knowledge of child development, early literacy, play-based learning, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Preferred skills include experience with diverse student populations and familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and special education eligibility processes. This position is located in Milford, DE, within an early childhood school setting and follows the normal school year schedule.
