A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in early childhood is needed to deliver impactful speech and language services to children ages 2-5 in an early intervention setting. This contract position for the upcoming school year is based in Smyrna, DE, focusing on supporting diverse communication needs to foster success in preschool classrooms and beyond.

Key Responsibilities: Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in early childhood students. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Provide direct therapy in individual, small group, or classroom-integrated formats. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to embed speech and language goals into curricula. Monitor, document, and maintain student progress records in line with federal and state regulations. Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility assessments, and transition planning. Support early intervention and inclusive preschool special education programs. Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices and legal standards. Qualifications: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Valid state licensure and/or certification (ASHA CCC-SLP, CFY eligible, or appropriate state education certification). Preferably experienced with preschool-aged children in public school or early intervention settings. Strong understanding of child development, early literacy, play-based learning, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities. Preferred Skills: Experience working with diverse student populations. Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and special education eligibility procedures. Location: Smyrna, Delaware, Early Childhood School setting.
