Role Overview:As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will manage a caseload of approximately 28 students, primarily in elementary grades along with some high school learners. Your role involves conducting assessments, delivering individualized therapy, and collaborating closely with educators and families to foster student communication and academic success. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop individualized therapy plans Deliver tailored speech and language interventions to address each students needs Collaborate with teachers and school staff to implement accommodations and modifications within classrooms Monitor progress, adjusting therapy strategies to ensure effective outcomes Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing to goal setting and progress discussions Provide resources and support to parents and caregivers to extend learning beyond the school setting Qualifications: Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure Experience working with school-aged children preferred Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in educational settings Familiarity with IEP processes, educational laws, and related compliance requirements Location:Newark, NY Work primarily takes place within an elementary school setting with occasional high school student support.
