Key Responsibilities: Provide accurate and efficient sign language interpretation during classroom instruction, meetings, and school events Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to adapt materials and communication methods as needed Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions Assist in fostering an inclusive learning environment for students with hearing impairments Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in interpreting services Desired Qualifications: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with certification or equivalent qualifications preferred Experience working as a sign language interpreter in educational settings, especially within K-12 schools Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with educators and school personnel to support student needs Familiarity with deaf culture and the educational requirements of students who are deaf or hard of hearing Location: Everett, Washington This contracted opportunity spans the current school year and offers the chance to play a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience for students requiring sign language support.
