Key Responsibilities: Provide accurate and professional sign language interpreting services for K-12 students during classes, meetings, and school events Facilitate communication between hearing-impaired students, teachers, and staff Collaborate with educators and support staff to create an inclusive learning atmosphere Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interpreting situations Support student participation in academic and extracurricular activities through interpreting Qualifications: Proven experience as a sign language interpreter, preferably in an educational setting Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and Deaf culture Ability to interpret complex academic content effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Certification or accreditation as a sign language interpreter is preferred Location: Everett, Washington (on-site) This contract role spans the full school year, providing professional interpreting services throughout the academic calendar.
