This position combines your expertise in vision education with modern virtual instruction methods. You'll work with students experiencing various degrees of visual impairment, creating individualized educational experiences that promote independence, academic success, and confident navigation of both digital and physical environments. Primary Functions
Provide direct instruction in compensatory skills and techniques Teach braille reading and writing across all academic subjects Deliver orientation and mobility concepts in virtual formats Adapt curriculum materials for visual accessibility Coordinate assistive technology training and implementation Collaborate with families to support home learning environments Work with educational teams to ensure inclusive programming Maintain detailed progress monitoring and compliance documentation Student Services
Support students with varying visual impairments from low vision to total blindness across all grade levels. Services include academic skill instruction, daily living skills development, social interaction facilitation, and career preparation designed to foster maximum independence and self-advocacy. Technology Excellence
Work with cutting-edge assistive technology platforms including screen readers, magnification software, braille displays, and specialized educational applications. Our comprehensive virtual system provides accessible learning experiences that mirror real-world technology usage and prepare students for future success. Essential Qualifications
