Full-time remote opportunity focusing on specialized instruction for students with visual impairments and blindness. Provide essential vision services while collaborating with educational teams to maximize student independence and academic success. Instructional Services Braille reading and writing instruction via interactive platforms Orientation and mobility consultation and training Assistive technology assessment and implementation Visual efficiency training and low vision support Independent living skills instruction Academic support and curriculum modification consultation Core Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive functional vision assessments remotely Develop individualized educational plans addressing vision-related needs Provide direct specialized instruction through secure virtual platforms Collaborate with IEP teams for goal development and progress monitoring Train educational staff in visual impairment support strategies Educate families on home support and advocacy techniques Maintain compliance with state vision services standards Essential Qualifications Master's degree in Visual Impairment or related field Current Ohio Teacher of Visually Impaired certification Minimum 2 years of TVI experience in educational settings Strong technology skills for virtual specialized instruction Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Experience with assistive technology and adaptive equipment Virtual Excellence
