Lead visual impairment education through virtual innovation! We're seeking a dedicated TVI to provide specialized instruction and support services to students with visual impairments through advanced remote delivery methods.
Role Details
Part-time remote position delivering teacher of visually impaired services to students with varying degrees of vision loss. Work flexibly while maintaining high standards of specialized instruction and educational collaboration. Specialized Programming Expanded core curriculum instruction and implementation Compensatory academic skills training and development Social interaction skills and self-advocacy training Recreation and leisure skills instruction Career education and transition planning support Sensory efficiency and alternative skill development Professional Responsibilities Complete thorough functional vision and learning media assessments Design evidence-based specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals Provide direct teaching services through engaging virtual platforms Consult with educational teams on environmental modifications Recommend and train on assistive technology solutions Monitor student progress in vision-related skill areas Maintain detailed documentation and compliance records Required Credentials Master's degree in Visual Impairment Education Active Ohio TVI teaching license Minimum 2 years of vision services experience Proficiency in virtual specialized instruction delivery Strong problem-solving and creative teaching abilities Knowledge of visual impairment impact on learning and development Technology Integration
