A school district in Corrales, NM, is seeking Behavior Specialists for a contract position lasting the entire school year (NSY). There are at least two openings available. Candidates must hold licensure through the New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) or be eligible to obtain it.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Support and collaborate with special education teams addressing student behavior needs Provide direct behavioral interventions and consultative services across multiple school settings Assist in managing and de-escalating crisis situations among special education students Qualifications: Active licensure through NM PED or eligibility to obtain licensure Experience with FBAs and BIPs is essential Background in behavioral support through BCBA certification, special education teaching, or social work in school environments Ability to work effectively with multiple school teams and adapt to diverse student needs This opportunity offers meaningful work helping students with significant behavioral challenges while collaborating closely with dedicated special education staff.
