A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support K-12 students in an educational setting located in Commerce City, CO. This role requires a professional with expertise in American Sign Language (ASL) to facilitate clear and effective communication between Deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their teachers and peers. Key Responsibilities: Provide accurate and clear sign language interpretation during classroom instruction, school activities, and meetings. Collaborate with educators, students, and support staff to ensure effective communication access. Assist in creating an inclusive learning environment that supports the academic and social development of students who are Deaf or hard-of-hearing. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards and ethical practices in interpretation. Desired Experience and Qualifications: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with certification preferred. Experience interpreting in K-12 educational settings is highly desirable.
