Milan Elementary School is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
or
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
to join our team for the 20252026 school year. This is a
100% onsite
position working with
Pre-K and Kindergarten students . The caseload includes approximately
3035 students , with responsibilities focused on providing therapy, monitoring progress, and supporting early communication development. This role is ideal for clinicians who are passionate about early intervention, love working with young learners, and thrive in a school-based setting. Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy to
PK and K students , targeting goals outlined in IEPs.
Maintain accurate records, session notes, and progress data.
Conduct or assist with informal assessments and data collection (SLP only: formal evaluations as needed).
Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to support student success.
Participate in meetings and professional collaboration as needed.
Ensure compliance with IDEA and state regulations.

Caseload:
~3035 files (PK and Kindergarten only)
Work Hours:
8:00 AM 3:00 PM, 4 days per week
Lunch & Planning:
30-minute lunch included; planning/assessment time built into the day
Start Date:
ASAP
Commitment:
Through the end of the
20252026 school year , with
potential to continue
beyond if desired
Work Setting:
Onsite only
No teletherapy will be considered for this age group
Requirements:
SLP Candidates: Active
CCC-SLP
certification
Valid
Tennessee SLP license
Experience with early childhood populations preferred
SLPA Candidates: Valid
Tennessee SLPA license
Experience with preschool/Kindergarten-aged children strongly preferred
Must work under supervision of a licensed SLP
