Responsibilities include: Designing and implementing individualized educational plans tailored to students with visual impairments Collaborating with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to create inclusive learning environments Utilizing assistive technology and specialized instructional strategies to promote student engagement and independence Conducting assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching approaches accordingly Providing orientation and mobility training as needed Desired qualifications: Certification or licensure in Teaching Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) Experience working with K-12 visually impaired learners Strong knowledge of assistive technologies and instructional methodologies specific to visual impairments Excellent communication and collaboration skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment Location: San Francisco, California This contract role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students academic and personal growth while working within a collaborative school community.
