Contract Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction and support to K-12 students with visual impairments Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) related to orientation and mobility goals Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive student support Provide itinerant services throughout the district, traveling to multiple school sites as assigned Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly Qualifications: Valid certification/license as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Certification/licensure as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) Experience working with visually impaired students in an educational setting Ability to work independently and manage a caseload in an itinerant capacity Strong communication and collaboration skills This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the education and independence of students with visual impairments. Candidates licensed in both TVI and OMS are preferred; part-time candidates who can manage half of the caseload will also be considered.
