Position Overview

We seek a dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve students in the Manchester area through our comprehensive virtual education program. This remote position offers the opportunity to work with diverse learners while utilizing cutting-edge educational technology to create engaging, individualized learning experiences. Position Specifics: Weekly Hours:

36-37 hours per week Student Caseload:

42-58 students across various grade levels Grade Range:

Elementary through middle school (K-8) Service Delivery:

Specific learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, and multiple disabilities Core Responsibilities

Direct Student Services Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's learning profile Provide specialized instruction through interactive virtual sessions Facilitate both individual and small group learning opportunities Adapt curriculum materials to meet diverse learning needs and abilities Progress Monitoring & Assessment Conduct ongoing assessments to track student academic and behavioral progress Collect and analyze data to inform instructional decisions Prepare detailed progress reports for IEP meetings and parent conferences Collaborate with evaluation teams for re-assessments and annual reviews Team Collaboration Participate in virtual IEP meetings with families, administrators, and related service providers Coordinate services with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and school counselors Provide consultation to general education teachers regarding accommodations and modifications Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student goals and achievements Required Qualifications

Educational & Licensing Requirements Master's degree in Special Education or closely related field Current New Hampshire special education teaching certification Minimum of 2 years direct experience in school-based special education settings Demonstrated knowledge of special education law, including IDEA regulations Technical Competencies Proficiency with virtual learning management systems and educational software Experience using assistive technology and adaptive learning tools Strong troubleshooting skills for common technical issues during online instruction Reliable high-speed internet and dedicated workspace suitable for virtual teaching Professional Skills Exceptional written and verbal communication for virtual parent and student interactions Strong organizational skills for managing digital student files and lesson planning Ability to build rapport and maintain student engagement in virtual environments Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and FERPA compliance in remote settings Virtual Learning Environment
