Manager, Emerging Technology/AI Products Scrum Master/Release Manager at KPMG US. Hybrid work opportunity. KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Scrum Master/Release Manager to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. This role focuses on leading agile practices for Emerging Technology products, coordinating feature releases, and fostering an agile engineering culture within a cross-functional team. Responsibilities
Help grow a collaborative and continuously improving engineering culture; teach and serve as an example to the team of Scrum and agile values and principles; coach individuals and teams; facilitate Scrum Events as a Scrum Master or Release Train Engineer, and manage feature release coordination for KPMG Emerging Technology products Deliver effective conflict resolution between individuals and teams with strong interpersonal skills; provide methods and practices for managing and resolving impediments Act as an expert in estimation and planning techniques; explain and teach release planning in an empirical environment; clarify differences between Scrum scaling frameworks and approaches Advocate for modern agile software development and organizational practices (e.g., XP, CI/CD, DevOps, TDD); automate project status flow and facilitate continuous, real-time transparency for effective communication and decision making Coaching and training for individuals, teams, and programs to clarify goals, address anti-patterns, and implement plans to achieve stronger results; apply various agile techniques to improve development efficiency Provide scaling expertise to align multiple agile teams; facilitate planning with large groups; coach product owners on managing scaled backlogs of epics and features; mentor product owners in backlog creation, management, and refinement; help manage team interruptions and protect the team within a sprint; work across boundaries to improve flow and value Qualifications
Minimum five years of experience with multiple agile approaches (Scrum, Kanban, XP, SAFe, Lean, etc.) and ability to adapt approach to fit the team and product Bachelor's degree preferred; practitioner-level certifications (PSM II/CSP) preferred Deep expertise in building trust, safety, and effective communication within teams Proven track record of facilitating, coaching, and mentoring teams and leaders in agility and delivering high-impact software sustainably Experience with full software development life cycle; familiarity with modern agile practices; experience with agile tools and scaling across multiple teams is a plus Strong visualization and system-thinking skills; ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to prioritize, delegate, and foster high-performance teams; strong problem-solving and organizational skills; capacity to manage multiple projects Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future Employment details
