A Sign Language Interpreter is needed to provide in-person services for a middle school student in Silverdale, WA. This contract position runs from September 3, 2025, through June 17, 2026, with the possibility of extension due to snow days or other schedule changes. A planning day prior to the start date will also be required.

Responsibilities include: Delivering clear and effective sign language interpretation during middle school classes Facilitating communication between the student, teachers, and peers Supporting the students educational and social inclusion in the school environment Collaborating with school staff to ensure accurate and consistent interpretations Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times Qualified candidates should possess: A minimum of 4.0 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) Experience working with middle school-aged children in an educational setting Excellent sign language fluency and interpretation skills Ability to provide services for 6.5 hours per day, totaling 32.5 hours per week Willingness to work on-site in Silverdale, WA This position offers a valuable opportunity for interpreters skilled in supporting middle school students with hearing impairments.
