A reputable elementary school in Philadelphia is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support students in grades K-8 for the upcoming school year, running from August 25 to June 12. This contract role operates Monday through Friday from 8:15 AM to 4:15 PM.
This position requires managing a diverse caseload of students with behavioral and emotional disabilities utilizing both push-in and pull-out teaching methods. The ideal candidate will have experience working with this population and the ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs effectively.
Qualifications:
Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II certification in Special Education is required.
Candidates holding a prior SPECIAL EDUCATION emergency license with relevant experience will be considered.
Proven ability to work with students exhibiting behavioral and emotional disabilities.
Experience implementing push-in and pull-out special education strategies.
