Duration: August 25, 2025 June 10, 2026 Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM 3:30 PM Caseload: 12 students Classroom Support: Collaboration with 7 Educational Technicians (paraprofessionals) Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the life skills and cognitive development of students with severe or multiple disabilities. Collaborate effectively with educational technicians to support classroom management and enhance personalized instruction. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies to meet evolving educational and developmental needs. Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and independence. Communicate regularly with families and interdisciplinary teams to support student success. Qualifications: Maine teaching certification #282 or an equivalent reciprocal certification from out-of-state. Experience working with students with life skills needs and severe or multiple cognitive disabilities. Strong collaboration and communication skills to effectively work with support staff and families. Commitment to creating supportive learning environments tailored to diverse needs.
