Support behavior intervention in an elementary school setting as a 1:1 Behavioral Health Assistant or Paraprofessional. This contract position is focused on providing behavioral support to students with mild, moderate, and severe special education needs.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver 1:1 and classroom behavioral interventions Assist students with toileting as needed Communicate effectively with staff and students to support behavior plans Adapt to changing roles within the classroom and across caseloads Maintain consistent reliability for daily attendance and performance Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year experience working in schools with special education populations and behavior interventions Reliable transportation and communication skills Willingness to support varying behavior caseloads in different classroom settings CPR, First Aid, and CPI certifications are preferred but not required Location and Schedule: Position based in Santa Ana, CA at an elementary school Contract assignment during the current school year (CSY) Daily hours are approximately 6.5 with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, totaling 30 hours per week Opportunity to substitute while awaiting full-time assignments depending on district needs at onboarding This role emphasizes flexibility and strong communication skills to effectively support students and staff. Candidates ready to contribute to positive student outcomes through behavioral support and intervention are encouraged to apply. Compensation for this position ranges from $18.52 to $35.52.
