This remote interpreting role involves providing ASL interpretation services for students in grades K-12 through virtual platforms. You'll work approximately 35-37.5 hours per week, supporting classroom instruction, IEP meetings, and student interactions. Our interpreters typically serve 15-25 students across multiple schools, ensuring consistent communication access in diverse educational settings. Key Responsibilities Provide real-time ASL interpretation during virtual classroom sessions Support IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team consultations Facilitate communication between deaf/hard of hearing students and hearing peers Collaborate with teachers and support staff to optimize learning environments Maintain professional standards and confidentiality in all interactions Document interpretation services and student engagement as required Essential Qualifications 3.5 EIPA score minimum (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) Minimum 2 years of school-based interpreting experience Proficiency with virtual meeting platforms and educational technology Strong understanding of K-12 educational environments Excellent communication and collaboration skills Reliable high-speed internet and professional home office setup Preferred Qualifications 4.0 EIPA score Written EIPA certification RID/NIC certification with written component Experience with diverse grade levels and subject areas Background in educational support services Technical Requirements Professional-grade webcam and lighting for clear visual communication Noise-canceling headset for optimal audio quality Dual monitor setup recommended for multitasking Familiarity with Zoom, Google Meet, and other virtual platforms If interested, apply here or contact: Daniela Jimenez 470-516-6256 Remote working/work at home options are available for this role.
