This full-time remote position involves 35-37.5 hours per week of interpretation services for students in grades K-12. You'll typically support 18-25 students across various virtual classrooms, providing essential communication access during instruction, meetings, and educational activities. Our interpreters play a crucial role in ensuring equal access to education. Core Responsibilities Provide simultaneous ASL interpretation during virtual classroom instruction Support individual and group therapy sessions as needed Facilitate communication during parent-teacher conferences and team meetings Assist with virtual field trips, assemblies, and special events Collaborate with teachers to optimize visual learning strategies Maintain professional boundaries while building rapport with students Complete required documentation and progress reports Mandatory Requirements Valid 3.5 EIPA score (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) Minimum 2 years of interpreting experience in school environments Fluency in American Sign Language and English Comfort with technology and virtual learning platforms Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills Ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration Additional Preferred Credentials 4.0 EIPA certification Completed Written EIPA assessment National Interpreter Certification (NIC) or RID certification Experience with diverse learning styles and special needs Background in educational support or related fields Technology Specifications Professional-quality webcam with clear resolution Adequate lighting for optimal visual interpretation Headset with noise cancellation features Dual monitor configuration for enhanced productivity Stable internet connection with minimum upload speeds If interested, apply here or contact: Daniela Jimenez 470-516-6256 Remote working/work at home options are available for this role.
