Our expanding team seeks experienced American Sign Language interpreters for virtual educational assignments. You'll support deaf and hard of hearing students through live video interpretation, ensuring full classroom participation and academic access in remote learning environments.

Work 35-37.5 hours weekly providing interpretation services for students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade. This position involves real-time ASL interpretation during live virtual classes, supporting approximately 15-25 students across multiple educational programs and grade levels throughout the school year. Primary Duties
Deliver professional ASL interpretation during synchronous online classes Support student participation in group discussions and collaborative activities Interpret educational content, instructions, and peer interactions Participate in virtual IEP meetings and educational planning sessions Maintain accurate service logs and student progress observations Coordinate with special education teams for optimal service delivery Remote Work Environment
Our state-of-the-art virtual platform provides interpreters with professional-grade tools for effective service delivery. You'll work from your home office, connecting with classrooms nationwide to ensure deaf and hard of hearing students receive quality interpretation services during their educational experience. Qualification Standards
Required Credentials: Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score minimum 3.5 Two years minimum experience interpreting in school settings Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language Professional home office setup with appropriate lighting Stable broadband internet connection for video streaming Preferred Qualifications: EIPA score of 4.0 or above Written EIPA certification completion Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or National Interpreter Certification (NIC) Previous virtual interpreting experience Knowledge of educational processes and terminology Technology Specifications
