This full-time Special Education teaching position focuses on a Middle School Life Skills classroom serving 4-6 students, supported by a Classroom Aide and 1:1 student aides. The role is based in Orland Park, IL, for the 2025-2026 academic year under a contract arrangement.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instruction and support to middle school students with diverse learning needs in a life skills setting. Collaborate with classroom aides and 1:1 support staff to create an inclusive, effective learning environment. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with students goals. Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams. Qualifications: Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement. Experience working in a life skills classroom environment is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with students, aides, and families.
