A high school in Newark, NJ is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time role focused primarily on Fridays throughout the school year, with summer school hours also available. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide essential one-on-one nursing care for a student while supporting the schools health services.

Responsibilities include: Providing nursing care and support to a student with specific medical needsdetails to be shared upon application Ensuring safety and well-being during school hours, including accompanying the student on bus rides as required Maintaining consistency and reliability in attendance and care, scheduled from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM on Fridays Potentially covering Monday through Thursday when the primary nurse is unavailable (optional) Collaborating with school staff and healthcare providers to address evolving medical requirements Qualifications and experience needed: Valid LPN/LVN or RN licensure eligible for school nursing roles Prior experience or interest in pediatric or school nursing preferred Ability to commit consistently with punctuality and reliability Comfortable assisting a student who requires 1:1 care and bus travel Strong communication and organizational skills This is a part-time commitment from ASAP (school begins 9/4) through 6/26/26 with the possibility to work additional days if desired.
