About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to provide virtual services to students in the Nashua region. This remote position combines the rewarding aspects of special education with the advantages of working from home, utilizing advanced technology to create personalized learning experiences for students with diverse needs. Virtual instruction via secure educational platforms Disability Areas:

Learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, other health impairments, and developmental delays Primary Responsibilities

Individualized Instruction Develop comprehensive IEPs aligned with state standards and individual student goals Deliver specialized academic instruction through engaging virtual methodologies Create modified curriculum materials and assessments appropriate for diverse learning abilities Implement behavioral intervention plans and track student progress toward goals Student Support & Advocacy Conduct virtual counseling sessions to address academic and social-emotional needs Facilitate transition planning for post-secondary education and career readiness Coordinate with vocational rehabilitation services and community agencies Advocate for student needs during virtual meetings and planning sessions Family & Team Communication Lead virtual IEP meetings and maintain regular contact with families Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure proper implementation of accommodations Work with related service providers to coordinate comprehensive student support Provide training and resources to families supporting their children's remote learning Essential Qualifications

Credentials & Experience Master's degree in Special Education, Exceptional Children, or related area Valid New Hampshire special education teaching license Minimum 2 years of experience working with students with disabilities in school settings Knowledge of transition services and post-secondary planning for students with disabilities Technology Skills Competency with video conferencing platforms and online learning management systems Ability to create and modify digital educational materials Experience with data collection and progress monitoring software Comfort troubleshooting technology issues during live instruction Personal Attributes Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships in virtual environments Excellent time management and organizational abilities for remote work Creative problem-solving skills for adapting instruction to online delivery Dedication to equity and inclusion in educational settings Why Choose Virtual Special Education?
