Serve students with diverse disability needs across all grade levels including those with autism spectrum disorders, specific learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and emotional disturbances. Implement evidence-based instructional strategies through virtual delivery methods while addressing individual accommodation and modification requirements. Support students in developing independence skills and preparing for post-secondary transitions. Core Educational Functions
Design and deliver specialized instruction aligned with individualized education program goals and state learning standards. Create adaptive curriculum materials and implement universal design for learning principles in virtual environments. Conduct functional behavior assessments and implement behavioral intervention strategies through remote platforms. Facilitate family engagement and provide ongoing communication regarding student progress. Key Professional Responsibilities
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and school psychologists to ensure integrated service delivery. Participate in virtual evaluation meetings and contribute to eligibility determination processes. Maintain accurate special education records and ensure compliance with IDEA regulations. Provide consultation services to general education teachers regarding student accommodations and modifications. Professional Requirements
Master's degree in Special Education required. Valid New Hampshire special education certification across multiple disability categories essential. Two years minimum experience in special education classroom settings required. Virtual teaching background strongly preferred.
