An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in Buckeye, AZ on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY). This role focuses on providing quality instruction and tailored support to students with diverse learning needs, fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on students' needs and strengths.
Adapt lesson plans and instructional materials to accommodate special learning requirements.
Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive student support.
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.
Maintain a positive, patient, and encouraging classroom atmosphere that promotes student growth.
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid state certification in Special Education.
Experience working with elementary-aged students requiring special education services.
Strong knowledge of special education laws, practices, and instructional methods.
Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
Patience, creativity, and commitment to individualized student success.
