A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized speech and language services for early childhood students (ages 2-5) in an early intervention setting located in Dover, DE. This contract role spans the full school year and focuses on supporting children with a broad range of communication needs to promote success in preschool and beyond.

Key Responsibilities: Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in early childhood students. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Deliver direct therapy services through individual, small group, or classroom-integrated sessions. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate speech and language goals into daily curriculum. Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records in accordance with federal and state guidelines. Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility assessments, and transition planning conferences. Support early intervention and inclusive preschool special education programs. Engage in professional development to remain current on best practices and legal requirements in speech-language pathology. Qualifications: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Valid state licensure and/or certification (ASHA CCC-SLP or Clinical Fellowship Year eligible; appropriate state educator certification if required). Experience working with preschool-aged children, preferably in public school or early intervention settings. Strong knowledge of child development, early literacy, play-based learning, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Preferred Experience: Working with diverse student populations. Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and special education eligibility procedures.
