Key Responsibilities: Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in young children. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Deliver direct therapy through individual sessions, small groups, or integrated classroom activities. Work closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to embed speech and language objectives into daily instruction. Maintain detailed records on student progress in compliance with regulatory guidelines. Participate actively in IEP meetings, eligibility assessments, and transition planning. Support inclusive early intervention and preschool special education models. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and legal standards. Qualifications: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Valid state licensure and/or certification (e.g., ASHA CCC-SLP or CFY eligibility; state-specific certification as applicable). Experience with preschool-aged children, preferably in public school or early intervention settings. Solid understanding of child development, early literacy, play-based learning, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities. Preferred Skills: Experience working with diverse student populations. Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and special education eligibility procedures.
