Full-Time, School-Year Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate

Special Education Teacher

to join our upper elementary team, focusing on English Language Arts instruction. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse learners, strong skills in differentiated instruction, and a passion for literacy development in grades 46. Key Responsibilities: Provide targeted ELA instruction to students with IEPs in an inclusive and/or pull-out setting.

Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans in collaboration with the IEP team.

Use data-driven strategies to assess student progress and adapt instruction as needed.

Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success.

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all state and federal special education regulations.

Foster a positive, supportive, and respectful classroom environment.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred).

Massachusetts DESE licensure in Moderate Disabilities (grades PreK8) required.

Experience teaching upper elementary students, preferably in ELA.

Strong understanding of evidence-based literacy practices and multi-tiered systems of support.

Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
