A contract opportunity is available for a school psychologist at an elementary school in Omaha, NE, for the 20252026 school year. This position involves supporting a single building with a student population of approximately 350. The psychologist will work with students across all 13 disability categories as outlined in Nebraska Rule 51, providing comprehensive assessments and behavioral support for those who require evaluation or intervention.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive educational evaluations, including cognitive, academic, and behavior rating scales. Develop and implement functional behavior assessments (FBA) and behavior intervention plans as needed. Manage caseload involving all students requiring testing or behavioral support within the building. Lead multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and write MDT reports. Participate in individualized education program (IEP) meetings to support student needs. Collaborate with school staff to ensure compliance with state regulations and to support student success. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to evaluations and interventions. Qualifications and Experience: Certification as a school psychologist under Nebraska state guidelines. Familiarity with Nebraska Rule 51 disability categories. Experience conducting a variety of educational assessments. Strong organizational and communication skills for managing meetings and documentation. Ability to work independently within a school setting. Work Schedule: Regular hours are 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., with possible before- or after-school meetings for MDT or IEP sessions. Position duration is from August 2025 through May 2026. This role does not involve counseling services but focuses on assessment and planning to support student educational progress.
