A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for a K-8 certified professional, specializing in elementary education, at a Magnet school serving approximately 15 students in a resource setting. This contract assignment covers the full school year and is located in North Haven, CT.

Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in grades K-8 Collaborate closely with a team of four experienced educators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Maintain clear communication with the responsive school director to address student progress and program needs Manage classroom activities and materials to create an effective and supportive learning environment Participate in school meetings and professional development as required Qualifications: Valid K-8 certification with Special Education endorsement Experience working with elementary-aged students in a resource classroom setting Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with fellow teachers and administration Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 15 students with varied learning needs Commitment to providing inclusive and supportive educational experiences School hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:15 PM, aligning with typical academic schedules.
